FAQ

Who can join the MIT Women’s League?

Membership of the MIT Women’s League is open to all in the MIT Community who identify with our mission. Whatever your affiliation – staff, student, faculty, parent, spouse, alumnus – you’re welcome here!

What do you do?

We seek to build community on MIT’s campus by connecting and supporting women at the institute. We offer social events, educational programming, volunteer opportunities, ways to give back, and a warm welcome. Check out our regular programs and interest groups, and our calendar for up-to-date event information.

How do I join? What does it cost?

It’s as simple as joining our mailing list, and membership is free! You’ll receive occasional emails from us about our events and program and ways to be involved. As part of our commitment to MIT’s Better World Initiative, we are actively reducing our print communication. If you wish to receive printed newsletters, please request via email

I’d like to start an Interest Group. What do I do?

That’s great! Interest Groups can be in any subject and meet as often as you like. We will always try to assist you by finding space on campus for your event. Please email us to talk more.

I have an idea for a talk / event / program. Who should I contact?

Please reach out to our Program Officers, Elise Perkins-Noel. She will be happy to hear from you.

How is your board selected?

Our board is comprised of both elected and appointed members. An up-to-date list of board members is available here
