Since 1999 the annual Laya Wiesner Community Award has been given to a member or friend of the MIT community for conspicuously effective service that reflects Mrs. Wiesner’s concerns for enhancing life at the Institute and in the world at large. This $2500 award will be presented at the Women’s League Annual Meeting in May 2025.

Nominations open on February 7th, 2025 and close on March 21st, 2025. 

Please submit a letter outlining why your nominee deserves this award. You can also encourage others to support your nomination by submitting their own letter, or adding to yours. You may also nominate yourself.
