Christine Reif Professional Development Award

November 21, 2022

The MIT Women's League's beloved Honorary Chair, Christine Reif, will be stepping down at the end of December 2022 as President Reif ends his tenure. Over the year, Mrs. Reif has been a crucial member of the WL and a dedicated servant to our causes. Her guidance on the board is invaluable, and we will miss her!

We are delighted to be able to honor Mrs. Reif's legacy with an annual award in her name, the Christine Reif Professional Development Award in collaboration with our friends at MIT Spouses & Partners Connect. With a long and successful professional career, we hope this honors Mrs Reif's commitment to those members of our community who are looking to further their career ambitions.

The award supports members of MIT's Spouses & Partners community. Those who have recently arrived at MIT can struggle with the loss of their family support network, difficulties communicating in English, and financial and career concerns. This annual award reimburses eligible applicants up to $500 for activities related to their job search and career development. Expenses eligible for reimbursement are classes, conference registration fees, and professional organization membership dues. Our hope is that these educational and networking opportunities will support our members’ professional growth and development and enable them to continue their career track while supporting their spouses or partner’s studies and research at MIT.
